Marvel Rivals Bringing Blade To The Fight

Marvel Rivals - Blade Reveal

Marvel Rivals burst on to the scene back in December of 2024. Since then it has garnered gaming industry praise and developed a core fan base even titans like Overwatch would dream of in 2025. And to think, the game did all that without Blade on the roster. Welp, time heals all wounds as Marvel Rivals seeks to rectify their mistake and get the Daywalker set up to take over.

Marvel Rivals adds Blade

Apparently, Dracula is a thing in the game. Once that old, dusty, plague is defeated, Blade will unlock for all to use. Check out the Blade model and a breakdown of the situation in the video below.

Hopefully, Mr. Brooks is unlocked before Dracula is defeated. That way, he can get his licks in on the mother (or father) or all vampires. You know, really stick it to the cause. A Dhampir’s work is never done.

Will this make me play Marvel Rivals?

No. I am so bad at the competitive shooter/brawlers. While I am a fan of the Marvelness of it all, I am way too much of an anchor to a team to try and play. Now, I will certainly log on and watch all the cool Blade animations. One thing Rivals got right was character highlights. Then it’s back on the digital shelf. I hope Blade is competitive in the meta. There would be nothing worse than being dead-on-arrival in a game that demands effective heroes.

Blade will return…maybe

Blade will hoefully return in his own game by Deathloop creator, Arcane Studios at some point. After it’s amazing reveal in 2023, the studio went dark and we have heard no new news on it. Couple that with the trouble, almost non-existent progress on the next Blade film, it seems like the character needs a win here.
