The teaser trailer for the new James Gunn led Superman movie dropped today. In it, we get a good look at a variety of DC characters playing second fiddle to Kal-El in July of 2025. This includes Guy Gardner played by the always incredible Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi as the third-smartest man in DC, Mr. Terrific. You may know Edi from the Twilight series, or his incredibly brief appearance in X-Men: First Class as Darwin. You know, the mutant who can adapt to anything and is the first to die because he couldn’t adapt.
I digress. It was a surprise to hear Mr. Terrific would make his big screen debut in the new DCU. Having popped up as a regular on CW’s Arrow series, I figured that was the last we would see of live action Michael Holt for a while. Turns out, James Gunn is a sucker for the wealthy, egotistical, vigilante genius.
